Got into a game with 4 premades. I told them not to worry, we will win because I am a plat smurf. Ashe decides to suddenly bash me saying "Plat is easy to get to, I just started and will get to plat in 3 months."

I told him no you won't, it took me 4 years because I am not good and improving. He then continues to say how I have a sad life playing 4 years of league. His 3 friends just started laughing and trolling me. I told them my life is not sad at all because I go to a good school, and have plenty of wealth in my family, I am certainly living quite well.

They keep taunting me, so I started using a sarcastic tone calling Ashe "diamond" because he thinks plat is trash.

Afterwards, all 4 of them reported me and I immediately got banned. This is my FIRST offense ever and I never even got chat-restricted or even warnings.

Riot sent me this log in my email. I've seen other ppl get banned with logs like "go fucking die, youre r%%%%%ed, noob trash" etc. If you look at mine, I've never said anything offensive. In fact it was them who kept flaming me about my life, so I was just arguing with them.

This is definitely not 14 DAYS BAN WORTHY.

Riot you don't have to unban me, I just want you to acknowledge that this time your AUTOMATED CHAT SCAN SYSTEM IS FLAWED. Back in the tribunal days there would be no way I can get banned for something like this.

EDIT: From this the only lesson I learned is to next time bring 3 friends along, and bash the random, and when he tries to defend himself, we will all report him. The automated system will flag his account, scan the things he says, and gets him a 14 day ban. It's quite a perfect plan actually.

Multiple mom jokes for no reason - you claim Kayle is hacking to start the match - you are in a verbal back and forth with another player pretty much all game... to what point and purpose? 14 day banworthy? No. Chat suspension worthy? Yes.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. This is the only warning this account will receive. Further examples of toxic behavior can result in permanent closure of your account.

First of all, thanks for agreeing with me. I also thought it is chat restricted worthy but not ban worthy, therefore we are on the same note.

Secondly, I joked saying I have map hacks so they won't invade, but that's irrelevant.

Verbal back and forth is a crime? Then dear god I hope the other player is banned too. Oh wait they won't because theyre premades.

That's one of the more toxic reform cards I've seen, actually. You harassed a newbie all game, "as a troll", like wtf? To be clear, the game doesn't ban you for one game. It's only the most recent chat log that's for that game. If you don't think that game was ban worthy, it's not really surprising that you deny that you were ever toxic before.

You try to be a Riot Justice Police, but if 4 premades are ganging up on me, and I cannot say anything to defend myself (using the argument that I should just "mute") then this will teach me to get 3 friends to play with me every single time, and continuously report the random.

Please quote where I was harassing a newbie. You only think that, because the log doesn't show what HE was saying. His side was clearly more toxic than mine.

I hope you get banned too for trying to explain yourself.

You realize that Riot doesn't care if the fight was instigated, and also reports from duos+ are in fact worth less. You should think about how your words will affect people before you type, or if you can't do that, not typing is always acceptable. This ban is a warning that you need to change your behavior.

If you were continuously harassed, let's say at school by bullies, the best action would be to ignore them and let them keep harassing you. And if you defend yourself, you are punished by the principal. You truly honestly believe that is justified?

If yes, then you have miserable respect for yourself and I truly feel sorry for you.

Ironically that school logic actually exists. In my old school someone tried to beat me up, I fucked them up in self defense and I got suspended. :P

honestly that's such bull shit this is an online game for one. and two soooooooo much flame is instigated im going to tell someone to "stfu noob" if hes 0/8/2 and calling me 2/4/5 a "fail mid" the thing is a can get reported for saying that even thou its completely 100% deserved and saying "you can mute them is bull shit to because muting then makes the game much harder since no one can say anything to each other.

Correct. It doesn't matter who did what first. It doesn't matter how bad w/e they said was. Just ignore/mute them and report them at the end. Anything more and you are just fueling the fire and risking yourself getting punished. There is nothing to defend against, you can stop them with 1 click any time you choose.

This is one of the more minor ones ive seen. There were a couple minor jabs but other than that its just kind of a long ridiculous conversation to be having in a game.

Do you find yourself in conversations like that a lot in games?

I usually ignore flamers or trolls, but in this case the premade 4 keeps ganging up on me, which made me feel defenseless, so I continued to convince everyone that I was quite well off. Unfortunately all of them just ended mass reporting me.

If this was back in the tribunal days, there would be no way I would get banned. The new automated system is very flawed.

Its hard to say the logs are clean with you talking about having sex with their mom. Thats most likely the core of why you were punished, the rest is basically just annoying back and forth. You aren't punished based on volume of reports. The only thing that them being a premade has to do with is that it was enough reports to trigger you getting scanned.

Having sex with their mom is completely implied. Implying something is completely subjective and in no way this AUTOMATED system can possibly assume implications of a certain meaning.

If I were to say "a person's skin is dark, stained with filth" it could be implied to be racist, but the AUTOMATED system will only punish chats which say the N-word and in no way would have enough intelligence to make analogies with metaphors.

the system gives you a notice if a player you report gets punished i have seen the message a total of 1 time ever and it was for a purposeful feeder who flamed super hard all game so out of all the reports one person has been punished......and ive had worse in my games since

That message ONLY comes up if they were punished by the new instant ban thing. So that means to get that message enough people in that game had to report them and it had to lead to a 14 day or permanent ban.

Its not ok to start things or flame back. Suggesting otherwise is just a shallow/misinformed analysis of the situation. Punishments are rarely the result of 1 game. So you are comparing the final straw for your punishment to what was probably not the final straw to earn theirs(or it could have been, you wouldn't actually know under most circumstances).

That is false. If I never say anything, teammates will report me for not communicating in game. It has happened to me many times before. Therefore I don't see this as a solution.

I DONT believe this... If you CANNOT chat.. then you cannot say anything. That would mean you would NEVER get off chat ban.

That is what pings are for. Pings = communicating.

You make a great and valid point, but unfortunately the chat logs does not show what he said, and HE STARTED by saying "you're plat and you're so trash, I just started playing and I have double your CS. Keep in mind that I was jungle nidalee with 115CS at this point because I was ganking a lot, while he was free farming bot because enemy bot lane went mid to roam.

Then he says "I am way better than you, a plat player."

So I said there's no need to talk to you.

After one of my deaths he says I could've saved you with my arrow but chose not to cuz you're bad"

So I said I don't need you to save me etc Then he goes to ALL CHAT and says our nid is so mad she keeps bitching. And I said back our Ashe is too.

Ofc it will look like I am the offender, there no way to convince anyone here, but clearly everyone will believe this premade 4 team over me so I should just suck it up.

It doesn't matter what HE said when considering why YOU got banned. He may have gotten banned too, but if you're asking why you were banned, that's why.
