Is my chat log truly 14-days ban worthy?
Hey guys (and also Lyte), so I have just been suspended for 14 days due to toxic behavior. In my email, this chat log was sent to me.
Long story short, I am smurfing on this account (which I believe is allowed on Riot's ToS) and I was carrying really hard. Yes, I started carrying and got cocky, but keep in mind this is to my own teammates. I told them I can assure them we will win, because I will carry this game. However one of my teammates Ashe asked me what rank my main is. I told him Plat Division.
Suddenly he started proceeding to trash talk, saying how he will be plat in a few months (he is only level 20ish). I suddenly got defensive, explaining how it took me 4 years to get it through hard work (not the best I know). He then began to say how I am bad and he is good because he is getting 180 CS at 20 min.
Then, if you look at my log, I started trolling him about how he must be diamond if he's so good. Then HE BEGINS TALKING IN ALL CHAT telling the other team how my life is sad playing league for 4 years and still only plat. I then said I go to an Ivy League University and have quite a bit of money, which means my life is quite well, and not sad at all.
He then convinced everyone on the other team that I am showing off my wealth, and everyone began trashtalking me saying "money must be everything to life right? You're sad, truly sad." After the game I think like at least 6 players reported me just for trollz and I immediately got banned. Keep in mind that prior to this game I've played exclusively ARAM and haven't talked much at all (bring those chat logs up too if you don't believe me).
I understand my tone of voice may be condescending or mean, but I don't think what I've said is 14-days ban worthy. From what I've seen, people have been banned when they say stuff like "go kill yourself, youre so noob, fking uninstall" etc. But all I was trying to do was explain why I don't have a sad life. Yes, I agree that showing off is not a good attitude, but I became very defensive when this player decided to trash talk me first.
The most I deserve is a warning for offensive behavior, or even a chat restriction. This is my first offense ever, and I don't see why one game leads to an immediate 14 day ban. I'm not asking to revert this ban, but I just question the "new automated system."
