Poll: Is a support an adc's babysitter 24/7 throughout the game?

I just got out of a game where my adc was like "Well, when you leave me alone..."

No. Your support is a support for the ENTIRE team. They do not have to stick by you 24/7. They need to ward, clear wards, check on drag. Not to mention wandering to other lanes to help get kills and support lanes that are having a hard time.

But that's just my opinion. What are yours?

Usually when this complaint happens it's the adc trying to solo farm lategame or play aggressively when he knows it's 1v2 and then is looking for something to blame.

This could be valid if it's a lategame teamfight where peeling is more important than diving.

Nope.

Help them during laning phase (roaming mid or to help counter-jungle when it's beneficial).

Afterwards, take whatever actions you believe are the most effective towards winning the game.

If they're not carrying and someone else is I'm leaving them to snowball the winner on my team even harder.

Depends. Who is the ADC?

If it's a vayne or kog I stay close. I roam just past dragon pit at farthest to ward until we have a sizable lead. If my vayne is just stupid or wholly outclassed or counterpicked then I will probably sacrifice the lane to roam mid and try to help support the other 2 lanes. I'm going to get blamed for bot lane anyways since all Vayne's are basically children nowadays if they are even remotely behind so I might as well earn their rage and the admiration of the other players for at least trying to salvage something on the field.

On that note, if you see a kog, vayne or any hypercarry in any lane then please don't pick a hypercarry in your lane. Pick a snowbally early game champ so I can stay focused on my ADC because I can't just leave them. And if you have a hypercarry to babysit then please don't pick bard and roam for chimes all game as if your adc won't get butt-fluffed like the newby at an all-guy's college dorm. They will. And it won't be as fun as the videos online suggest.

Their job is to ward, and peel for the ADC if the ADC has the capability to stomp the enemy team. It is always conditional but almost always stick with the ADC, supporting the entire team means giving them the best opportunity to win. If that means purely peeling for that ADC then do it as best as you can.

Honestly, some ADC's need their hand held depending on the champion. How much time you spend is how much you're investing into their late-game.

You eventually want to roam to help struggling teammates, teammates who are about to snowball but need a little more "oomph" to do it, and to set up objectives. And it also lets the ADC get a few solo lane levels, which is useful for the lane bullies and a few hypercarries that scale off levels (Vayne, Koggy, etc).

But yes, we are the team's supports, not a f*king babysitter or a ward bot.
