An Apology

After several games of chat mute and my account finally being banned, I'd like to apologize to anyone I may have raged at or made feel inadequate during a game. Its upon reflection that despite the matches I play being ranked, we all do this for fun. I'm not doing this to lessen the time of my ban, but I feel it's in order to forgive myself (I've said some pretty nasty things) as well as seek out some forgiveness.

When I come back I will be playing as one of the % of people changed by the tribunal, and again, community, I am sorry. I should not have turned into a monster to defeat any.

Hey Teddie,

Thanks for making an effort to be a better teammate. If you sustain neutral or positive behavior when you come back, it's very possible to completely reset your account to a neutral status (or even promote to a positive status!). At the end of the day, we're all just here to have fun. It's a pretty competitive, hardcore game; however, no one plays better after being raged at :D

Is it possible to have your status set as Positive without being negative in the first place? Just curious on how the system works. Are we all being judged, both good and bad, or just the bad apples?

By the way he worded it, I would assume so. Basically it looks like you're "banned", then get set to "mean guy". As time pass and you don't get reported (and possibly you get honored), you're slowly climbing toward "neutral". Then, if you keep behaving correctly, you'll have that small "Lawful" rating which protects you from a few slipups (that you probably won't need sicnce you're overall more positive than negative), and also possibly weighs your reports heavier.

You're absolutely right. Unfortunately for me it had to come this far before I realized, but I honestly do feel I'm on a better track. It was a wake up call. Maybe this post can lead an example for others who are in the same boat as I am.

You have recognized your mistakes and by posting this proved you are working towards addressing them. As someone who had to deal through anger management courses and the like I will tell you it's not going to be an overnight thing, going from a negative to a positive influence, but nonetheless it is very much possible and I wish you the best of luck.

What I enjoy about afk and RQ is that Leaver Buster actually does work! Half of the time you don't even need the report (Although it helps) -- the automated service is on the case for those people.

LOL's community is one of the largest and most friendly ones I know. I do fell the tribunal is a necessary thing to keep the trolls away or at least in your case make you reflect on your actions and decide if you do or don't want to be part of this culture. Your more then welcome back just have fun and enjoy the game and the fellow people that make it possible.

I think people are getting softer & softer each year. It's evident in almost every interface you can interact with, not only games. It's actually quite sad. Things aren't as transparent as they use to be. Now a days people are way to sensitive.

The response was actually very helpful! I learned some of this yesterday but seeing that second link sincerely helped me understand. I think another point I as well as others should reflect on is, we're the ones fortunate to have computers. With an internet connection. With the capabilities to play League of Legends. There are children out there who don't have homes, or families, and for me to rage at someone over losing a game is both being ungrateful that I even get to play, and selfish.

The response to this post genuinely gives me hope for the community that I grew to distrust and lash out at. Many of you are great people that make me honored to say I even play this game, because not all are like the person I'm well aware of and trying to fix, I've come to see that many of them are like all of you. ^_^

I would hope not. My language and toxicity is not something I carry around in real life. I'm not boasting but outside of the game I'm actually sociable / nice to others. August 25th is a long ways away, and although it took me this long to figure it out, I do feel that I did. I'm as fallible as anyone else, but knowing is half the battle. After the response I got from this post, if I were to go back and have someone feeding, or a jungler that never ganks, I wouldn't be the person raging at them. I'm going to be the person that lets them know it's okay if we lose but always to remember Teamwork - OP.

Plus, I have a lot more money to spend on skins, so I would hope Riot keeps me around. :P
