Blue Buff Donation

Just curious to hear some other people's opinions on this. When your mid is pushed in, not exactly behind but definitely not ahead, and you are using a jungler who uses mana and you know enemy jungler is in the top portion of their jungle, do you take the blue buff for yourself, and gank mid, hold the blue there till your laner can join you, or do you leave the blue, relieve pressure mid (risking your blue being taken by enemy jg) and then try to donate the blue after it could possibly have been stolen or warded?

If you have little mana, then you should get the blue buff so that you can use all of your abilities when you gank the lane. But if you do not need immediate mana, you should leave it for the time being for three main reasons: one, if you die, you do not want a chance of allowing the enemy mid laner from taking it from you, two, you do not want another mid turret being destroyed while you are taking something you will probably be able to take later, three, after ganking mid and using your mana (which might make it wiser to recall immediately after), hopefully you could get the blue and run around helping others with it lasting longer, which is when you would need it. I would not give the blue buff to my mid laner if I am the one that needs it more.

Depends largely on if they leashed, and if they've done anything that made me facepalm. As well as who they are and what they are building. If they are against a zed/yasuo and have a seekers? Sure I'll give them blue. But if they have a chalice already, or if I know bot/top will need a lot of attention I might keep blue.

Whether or not they leashed is irrelevant since I may have started a buff on the side of the map away from them (red on blue or blue on purple). My question is whether or not it is worth it to leave a buff up when I know enemy jung is on that half of the map, albeit in their own jung, or if I should just take the buff for insurance.

I'm not sure you understood my question; I don't have an issue with donating the blue if my mid wasn't pushed in, my problem comes with them being, for whatever reason, unable to come to me when the blue spawns. Do I just take it to reset the timer, so it isn't stolen, or do I find some way to make it easier for my mid to come?

here is my opinion if you are using a very mana dependent jungle or one with high mana costs ie warwick then i tend to keep it most of the time if im using say shaco who honestly doesn't need either buff sure ill give it to him if he asks. so i guess it really depends on who your playing

So, would you go gank and leave the blue to be counter jungled or would you just stand there? I feel that you're not addressing my main concern which is the time factor; the situation I described is one where your mid probably wants the blue but he ISN'T coming to blue atm becasue his lane is pushed, in which case I ask is it better to secure or better to waste time waiting or better to attempt a gank (still possibly losing the buff to enemy jg in the process) in hopes that you can push the wave and your mid can take the blue finally?

well this also depends on what jungler you are playing and what the enemy jungler is is your lets say shaco up against warwick you would want to grab blue then gank if your playing hecarim against any jungler you can gank fast enough to come back and give the blue to the midlaner before the enemy jungler gets to it. if your up against a diana vi or shyvanna you gonna want to take it because if you don't they will. does this answer the question?
