The surrender vote exists for a reason. Use it.

If we're 14 kills total, while the enemy team is 40 kills, with all of our towers down, and you STILL THINK YOU CAN WIN BECAUSE AD TWISTED FATE BACKDOORED THAT ENEMY INHIBITOR, you dont deserve to play. Your selfish choices are making the rest of the team suffer, because 12-0 khazix is one-shotting everyone with his q, heimerdinger is so fed he bought a hextech gunblade for the hell of it, and quinn is actually killing us. We shouldnt have to deal with that. You are making the team go through hell and back just because you think taking half of a tower every time adc twisted fate respawns will make us win.

If you can push to late game and make them lose most or all of their advantage, it's not hard to win then, especially when the respawn timers are long and a lucky ace means you can power through and clear from the Tier 1 turret to Nexus before they can come back.

If you absolutely love surrendering when behind and don't enjoy the challenge of being against a better opponent, then stick to single player games.

Edit: And no, I never said "don't ever surrender no matter what", so don't claim I did.

In ranked, you should never surrender, every opportunity counts, something can happen, example: someone of them can go afk and you will win all team fights and then win, just don't ff

i agree with valkyrie, i've both won and lost games where one team was behind but won because of one good team fight late game. that's all it takes.

Surrendering, to me, is an admission that you don't really ever want to get better. That you just want easy wins and don't really want to push yourself to improve.

It is in the hardest games that you learn the most. It is also in the hardest games, the games where you only have a 0.1% chance of winning, where you realize what you can actually do and learn what you're good at and - more importantly - where you fail. Knowing these are the keys to improving at ANYTHING, not just gaming. And this is how you learn it... by trying to do something you don't think is possible. Whether it be a 4v5, whether it be a game you're far behind, etc... those are the important games to your progression. There are a thousand lessons in defeat, and but one in victory.

Surrendering denies you the opportunity to learn that. So why would you ever surrender, unless you don't want to improve?

It exists for the sole reason that those who created it were raised to quit just like kids are today. There is no other reason other than that. Over time it is now used as a crutch so those that want to never get better and learn can just stop playing and join a new game faster. And then proceed to do the same damn shit. It needs to be taken off the game and over time we will see better players because they won't have that crutch anymore. It's called common sense and don't take a degree to figure out that is exactly what has happened to the player base over time.
