Just curious in regards to victorious rewards. Does the gold 4 rank have to be maintained or just hit once? Like, if I hit gold 4 and want to try for higher rank but drop back to silver 1, will I not get the victorious reward? New to the whole ranked thing. Not even gold yet but just curious.. Thanks!
Yes, you have to be in gold in order to get the rewards. So if you are gold now, and aren't sure if you can stay there if you continue playing ranked, then it would be wise to retire from ranked until the season ends
Yeah, you only get the rewards for BEING that rank.
You have to finish the season on a league to get those rewards.
If you're gold and you finish at silver then you get silver rewards.
Like they said, you get rewards for your current rank rather than your highest achieved, but also note that there is no LP decay for Gold and below now, so if you do hit Gold you don't have to keep playing to maintain it if you don't want to (or are afraid you'll get demoted). Also be aware of the 10 game demotion shielding you get for a tier promotion.
One more thing; you'll get the Victorious skin regardless of where you achieve Gold rank, be it Solo queue, 3v3, or 5v5.
