Poro king is now shit

Nexus blitz was the most fun. Fast, rotating gamemodes in it, and you could still make a comeback.

Completely agreed. I really don't understand what's with Riot's obsession in making alternate game modes random champions.

Tbh the main appeal of the game mode had always been being able to pick whatever champ you want, without that feature Poro King is just a Glorified ARAM.

Yea Riot doesn't like the idea of us being able to play the champions we want in order use our brains and form actual team comps unless it's on summoner's rift and you're a professional player that they tailor to.

I didn't even realize it was all random this time around, I might actually play it. Don't know why the AR gets all the hate, ARURF is better and regular poro king just turns to trash when you start seeing the same 2-3 champions EVERY SINGLE GAME... Like wu kong who will just delete your entire back line with one good poro toss and then zip back to king...

My favorite argument is "If it's not all random, you'll keep seeing the same champions over and over again." lol, like, I keep going against annoying comps regardless? I rather be able to choose a champion i can have fun with. And no, you WON'T keep seeing the same comps over and over again. Even when regular URF was out, there were a lot of different champs showing up.

I only play ARAM because generally people don't care as much, unlike summoners rift where 1 person can literally screw up the entire 30 minutes of gameplay, so why risk that? So I don't mind the AR Poro King. Now if only people could figure out how to throw/dodge snowballs....

Poro King was my favorite rotating gamemode. I loved it to death. The fast-pace fun of jumping from player to poro king, trying to land every poro and never get hit by them, counting on my team to talk to each other about who to ban away and who to leave up. Now, it's awful. It's a coinflip gamemode where better characters win just because of Riot's "random" champion selection favoring one team more. Sure the players aren't very good (picking frosted snax and running in a straight line into the enemy team's barrage of poros), but there's always the games where both sides know what's going on but it doesn't matter. They got Veigar, Orianna, Wukong or whoever else you want to fill the example with and we got Rammus.

For any of you who want to argue that blind draft is worse because of a lack of champion variety, I'd like to point you to my match history or any other volunteer's match history in order to compare results. I've seen a good bit of Blitzcrank, Veigar and surprisingly Sivir in my games. I'm sure all random picks give a better variety statistic, but not enough of one to really counteract the lack of enjoyment in seeing that you get a character you don't like, there are maybe one or two better characters for you after you and your teammates reroll but it's not who you want to play. I just wanted to pick Mordekaiser every game and see my adorable underworld poros in line while one bounces on my shoulder. Instead, I got told what character I would play. Even if someone dodged, I'd get it again the next lobby. I won't be playing Poro King anymore. I don't expect Riot to bring this gamemode back, especially not in blind draft format, so I think my last games on one of my favorite gamemodes will be for naught. Cheers everybody.

It's always been ass. It being random didn't change that. It's just ARAM but a slightly different flavor.

Poroking is shit because one team isnt even using the poros and the poro king is nerfed not doing his aoe damage or healing as much. nothing to do with the random.

Do not hurt me with my Poro :(

I just hate that it's an auto lose if you get on the team that doesn't use their snacks or pork ball.
