In-game ping and speedtest results

Just wanna get ideas on what people are working with out there

I still get 21ms flat in-game when It acts right, would have hardwired my laptop by now if I didn't have to run it across the whole house. Seems like being wireless is the only issue, I have plugged it up before but I can't play where my router is.

I have TDS Telecom and wanna see what ISP most of you work with and how well it is, my mom plans to swap to xnfinity which claims to be better(and less expensive) yet I've only seen a hanful of people have 21ms/below in game, so I'm thinking maybe we just need to all get hardwired unless I see some nice speeds out there

My Internet or their servers messed up one time out of 500 games and I got told to kill myself and a bunch of other things lol. Internet problems.

You should contact player technical support and get them to help you out. Can take up to two days for a reply depending on the queue size, but it's worth it. They can pinpoint stuff a speedtest won't help with. They'll also help you run more thorough tests on your network.

I was having similar problems last summer; they figured out that my ISP was forcing me to use an obsolete modem and router (not saying that's your exact problem, just my example).

Thanks for the advice, except for I just have the common issues against me. I have 2 people running playstations and at least 2 people watching tv at the same time every day, most of that being ran wirelessly, even our tv cable boxes are wireless and we just have a ton of interference going on, on top of that I recently moved my room to an even worse spot in my house for wifi. I'm 95% sure hardwiring my laptop would fix my issues completely, my older great speedtest was wireless as well just in a better location in the house. Just here for ideas on other ISP providers considering my mom is swapping isp no matter what due to price.

The ISP change won't affect that tbh. You could try a split-band router and prioritize League packets through it if you have the power to do that with your home connection.

That's all I can think of that would be a viable solution if you know for sure it's not hiccups in your connection to the server.

Yeaah I'm not smart with the internet stuff so I wouldn't know but hey TDS is on the list that they're partnered with, so that's nice. That's who I have and thanks for the link. Btw I am positive that it has nothing to do with my connection to the league servers, I've even done my port forwarding lul. Just look at my recent speedtest that's just my internet overall, I just get crazy wifi interference in my house and need to hardwire my laptop. Fine with our ISP, we just see better deals that claim to be faster out there and are looking for another to swap to, so im here for some speedtests from people and their ingame ping and obviously I'll look into it more

The problem is that the ISPs pay for fast speedtests. Speedtests are default priority traffic. They will also always claim to be faster, and once you switch they will be for about a couple weeks then you'll be back to the same garbo, maybe worse depending on who you switch to.

You'd be better off just looking at customer reviews of the ISPs available that are also partnered with Riot. Even searching for their names in the boards searchbar would give a general idea of how often they're an issue for players here.

my ping is a steady 41ms on a wifi connection. while there being 5 tvs, 3 game consoles, 2 handhelds, multiple smart phones.

my actual speed for my wifi is typically 50mbps when hard wired i get up to 150mbps

well it was time warner but they just got taken over by spectrum

I get between 45-60 ms normally but if its been rainy or damp for a few days it can go up to 800+ till everything dries out again.... something about dsl nodes shorting when they get wet. Also had the cops show up once because apparently we made a 911 call. Turns out when the nodes are wet they can short and make outgoing calls. Best part is we have a dry loop no landline phone. Speeds are 4mb down and 50kbs up it never actually gets those speeds though.

Also i know to people with good internet this will sound stupid... but i am actually looking forward to when we get 12mb equipment installed next year.
