Disilusioned ranked player needing advice.

Hello, I am currently a silver 4 player who was demoted after his last game. I ask today for an answer to a question that has plagued me since starting ranked. HOW do I ALWAYS get placed on a team that seems infinitely outclassed by our opponents!?

This is a link to my ranked match history:

http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/227794092?matchType=2

Since my original placement in silver 3, I have only been in two winning games. I truly don't feel like I'm a bad player; I often do very well in normals! But I'm not good enough to carry teams as heavy as I've been getting placed on in ranked. EVERY game is a stomp! Every lane loses and more often then not, we get one or two people who seem like they don't even know how to play the champ / position they take!

Example, In my last game, besides the fact top, mid an jg fed, I was supped by a Morgana who in 20 mins, landed one Q out of dozens!; Didn't place a single ward in the first 12 minuets (despite buying two item 2049 ) , NEVER ONCE used tormented soil, and kept running ahead of me to chase obvious bait! Heck, I died twice because I was warding the river bush and the enemy jg jumped out.

On the other hand, the enemy team was highly co-ordinated, strong jg presence, a supp who knew how to supp, Won top and mid easily, then ganked bot 6 times in 15 mins making it a sweep!

Frankly, It just seems statistically impossible that teams should be this one sided!; even more so that I ALWAYS end up on the stomped team!

I beseech you, Is there some invisible stat that makes this happen? Is this just terrible luck? And Is there anything I can do besides duo que to get better team mates?

Thank you for your time. :)

Well I can't say a crazy amount with just a match history besides working on csing will do you wonders. Even increasing your number at 10 min by 25 cs will net you a lot of gold.

Things to remember are that teams in silver and bronze are generally pretty uncoordinated and that's a big weakness, remember the enemy team has it's weaknesses too and finding those could be really helpful. You won't always get teams that are feeding, remember the odds are somewhere around 50% but that doesn't mean it will happen in 50% of your games, those are pretty big odds and it's not inconceivable you get 10 games in a row. That aside it looks like you're probably a little bit high on the ranked ladder for your skill level (I'm guessing from what little info I have, but you've only been ahead at 10 min once in your last 8 ranked games). So soon your MMR will level out at around what you can do. (MMR is independent of your current rank and determines who you're playing against, so even in silver 4 you might end up playing against bronze 1 and 2s, which means you lose more LP with each loss and gain less for each win, opposite if your MMR is high).

Leaguecraft101's videos are really good and should teach you a lot even if they're kind of old and the specific examples are a little outdated, the skills and concepts are still valid. CS is very very important. Trading is a tenuous thing that is very much mind games but worth practicing. Map awareness will help a lot and either net you a kill or save your life(warding is part of this, if you don't want to spend money upgrade your trinket). Oftentimes it's better to follow your team even if they're doing something stupid because if you split up both things will fail whereas going together it might work.

Best of luck!

So I wrote out a nice helpful response and the mods promptly deleted your post (for some reason?). Awesome.

Tl;dr of that post: You're not doing well. You can't farm passively and expect your team to just win. You need to push, punish, and take advantage of the enemy team, all the time. If you're consistently getting fucked over, that means you're consistently failing to capitalize on your advantages. You should look up some videos on harassing in lane and read some guides on the champions you play (like when to engage).

You should also obviously improve your CS and check champion.gg to correct some of your more eccentric build choices. Vayne

It's notable that your normals MMR is lower than your ranked MMR- that's to be expected when you're first placed into ranked. If you're not very good, you have to lose to be placed in your correct elo (usually lower bronze). There are a lot of things that you only get better at with practice.

Hahahhaha your support bought two sightstones I've literally never seen someone do that hahahhaha

Also you gotta duo queue. I never solo queue ranked anymore and I'm a support main. It's just immensely helpful to have comms with someone else on your team and coordinate, and know they aren't a troll etc.

just don't care so much, just keep playing and eventulaly you'll get to where you belong. note that that may not be where you think you belong.
