Gold 3 finish placed to bronze 2 after placements

This isn't a rant or anything. I just can't understand why my friends who finished similar divisions as me got placed in silver 2-3 and me in bronze 2.

Placement matches 3 wins 7 loses. Still i expected around silver 4 not bronze 2. Did something change in elo reset this year? Games are boring for me in this elo.

Sure i'll probably be out soon but there's no fun or challenge to be had and since i don't have much time to play anymore my chances to get platinum this year look bleak.

Might have to do with your MMR after losing so many. If you lost 7 games I'd imagine at some point you played against silvers and bronze players and the game placed you inbetween that elo.
