daily reminder RITO punishes the victims.

Well I have a 30 minute ban to wait out so yall gonna hear about it.

Ranked game, captain (first pick) ignores all ban suggestions, locks Tahm, doesnt declare position. Talk in champ select is headed where it always is these situations.

I dodge to get away from the toxicity and probable loss, AGAIN, I LEAVE to AVOID the toxicity and the very likely trolling = rito punishes me for leaving with a 30 minute ban.

I act properly to avoid people acting inappropriately, I get punished, offenders continue to offend.

This only tells me to take the beating the trolls want to give me, or rito will beat me for them.

Bug? or working as intended?

You realize you are no worse than him right? For all you know he could have been the best Tahm player on the planet, Granted i by no means am defending Riot. i think things like this are a problem, but you are not helping the problem and if anything is causing more problems. now other people have to wait for a queue, and instead of doing the right thing and reporting the person (at the cost of LP if you guys lose) this person will continue because people like you cannot report people like him!

Dodging a toxic is a good call. It spares you the frustration and tedium of playing out what could well be a long, uphill, vitriol-filled ordeal.

The queue delay that we get for dodging can seem pretty obnoxious (because it is pretty obnoxious), and the automatic loss is pretty hard to swallow in ranked queues. It's unfortunate that we have to weigh the inconvenience of those dodge penalties against playing a potentially toxic game.

I believe it's a necessary evil. If there were no penalty for dodging, people would leave lobbies for inappropriate reasons (didn't get preferred role/champion, opposing team picked a strong champion, got counter-picked). So it would take a lot longer to get into a game. Dodging would be especially pervasive in high-stress ranked queues. It's impact would be very aggravating in all draft modes, since the ban/pick process can take up to eight minutes.

While I agree that dodge penalties are annoying and disruptive, I think that not having dodge penalties would be worse.
