Need MMR/Account advice

Ok so basically my accounts mmr is trash I played countless games through seasons being bad and I feel like I'm finally at the point where I'm relatively better than I was but I'm kinda fucked getting 10-12 lp a game. Should I just try to climb and push it through or finish leveling my level 22 smurf to get a fresh mmr start I just don't know I've spent 150$+ on skins etc. On my main but climbing Is more important to me honestly should I try to level my smurf and climb before the season is over?
