Very odd stat about Ryze
Look at the win rate for Ryze top by games played. It begins very low, then steeply ryzes (hehe) before dropping down steeply, then steeply rises again before dropping steeply again.
Why is this? I never seen anything like this. Usually win rate has a correlation to experience, but this resembles a sine graph. Strange! Perhaps somebody could offer an explanation or hypothesis.
Also I saw how disturbingly high Ryze mid is for 125+ games played compared to Ryze top for 125+ games played. Even more intriguing. What makes Ryze mid thrive better than top lane with experienced mains?
Edit: Who downvotes but leaves no answer >:(? Now I will never be able to get answers if it never gets seen! Do you just see keyword "Ryze" and click the down arrow because you hate the champ? I'm truly curious about this data. This topic could not only involve Ryze, but research into this could be used to help balance other champions too, which gains a better understanding of the game in general. Much more depth than "Which Key is Best for Flash?".
Thank you for responses. Summary of current explanations: -Oppressive when mastered -Mid lane allows map presence -Stats are not reliable because of small sample size
can really abuse Ryze early game. Mid is better for Ryze because it's easier to control the map. You aren't too far from each lane. And Mid is with most Assassins and Mages, which makes Ryze the perfect champion to play with. Ryze is a really skillful champion that requires so much learning. It's hard to master him. This one is rather stupid early game because of his charges that can set off CDR on all of your skills. If you can abuse Ryze charges early game and win trades you'll do great with him Top. Mid is kind of unfair because of the ranges that champions have over him.
