Riot, why can't you make a launcher that !@@$%#%# works???

I've literally been trying to open League for 10 minutes. I click the icon, it says another launcher is open bla bla bla, I click Yes and then it shows me the pretty icon for a while before disappearing. Nothing happens ffs, anytime I get that stupid prompt it refuses to open the client

Do I get any problems with Blizzard Launcher? Nope. Steam? Nope. So why the hell can't you, Riot, with the metric shit-ton of income you get from this game, make a launcher that works properly?
