What do you guys think of the new client's look?
Title.
Title.
You mean the Alpha Client, or the Legacy (standard) Client?
The one in testing.
That would be the Alpha Client. In the future, I would suggest tagging your post as [Alpha] somewhere, or post it in the dedicated Alpha Client Discussion boards http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/alpha-client-discussion.
Largely the art style is unchanged, but a lot of the different pages and features of the client have been cleaned up. I like it better for those parts. It's still missing quite a few graphical pieces (such as the wavy graphics when forming a team), but those will be added back in once they solve all the other performance issues. In general, forming a team is easier and looks nicer, and you can even change the game map without having to re-invite everyone to the lobby. Hextech crafting also looks much nicer and more interesting than just the loading bars that are in Legacy Client.
If you haven't signed up for the Alpha yet, you still can. It's almost fully functional at this point, with all of the main queue types available.
Ah okay! It looks pretty cool but i just hope theres not too much change for the sake of change. I haven't seen all of it but I know there are some weird changes like the Play button being moved.
They aren't changing anything big just yet, but that's not really the point of the new client. The current standard client is very hard to edit, because all of the code is tangled up together and changing one part changes all lot of the others.
Their main focus for the Alpha client is to fit everything into modules that can be easily moved and changed separately. It also has a lot of integration into their web interfaces, so you can view more data about yourself and other players.
Once they have the Alpha client in a stable form that can do everything in the current client, they can push it out as the new standard and make changes for events, lore, specialty controls, and whatever else they want.
