What does everyone think about series games

Is it just me or do series games just feel by no means equal in any way?

least in my opinion, everytime im climbing the games are pretty easy unless you get an afk or something...but as soon as you hit your series the match quality is just awful to say the least

One team will win and it is never close, its always a str8 shitstomp either for or against your team (usually against). Not only that but the chances of getting some type of afk or troll is almost doubled (imo)

idk, to me its just kind of unfair to win a bunch of games and get to 100lp then lose your series because game 1 had an afk then the next game had someone who just trolls, flames and quits, intentionally feeds, etc only to start all over again

Just wondering how everyone feels on series games in general, so please leave a comment either way on your experiences with series games and how they compare to your normal games and if there should even be series games

here are the options (because for some reason in polls you cant type more than 21 characters aka not enough to form a decent sentence)

A=i like series games, they seem fair and balanced and by no means uneven in any way B= i like series games, but i feel they can use some touching up in the field of equality C=i dislike series games, they feel unbalanced in nature D=i dislike series games, the chances of getting someone who refused to play by the rules wether it be trolling/afking/flaming/ragequitting is alot more likely to happen E=i dislike series games, mostly due to the fact then when i look up the games on sites such as na.op.gg my team are all on losing streaks or lost more than half of their last games while my enemies all have wins for more than half their games played (and usually higher ranked on top of it) F=series games just shouldnt exist, i have proven myself to be better than this league by getting to 100 points in the first place

Please leave a comment on why you voted for what you voted for

(me myself i voted D, i wouldnt mind series games so much if they were actually legit 5v5's...but this week the last 6 series ive got into ive had a troll in every single set, and in some cases my first 2 games were fails due to afks......dont get me wrong i have no problem with people playing poorly...everyone does...but when i get into a game and its 4v5, or last pick didnt get mid so he locks in a mid and runs down lane and feeds kills...i just dont find that fair at all, coupled with the fact that they seem to happen in my series alot more often than my games climbing to get into my series)

share your thoughts, would love to see what everyone thinks....... as for myself, i think if your enemies get more skilled then your teammates should be more skilled....no reason to make it harder by having more skilled enemies on top of making it even more harder by giving you worse teammates...but then again like i said i dont mind people doing bad, i mind people not playing the game esp when the last 10 games ive played have all worked up to this game where my teammates go afk etc..... if you hit 100lp i think you should have already proved yourself in this league and you should move up.....

Thoughts?

It's all perspective. You put a higher priority on series, so you see them as being stomp or stomped because you are paying greater attention to them.

Matchmaking is really no different in a series than otherwise, so the only thing that is different is your perspective. Which is a BIG difference, don't get me wrong, but it's not one that anyone has any control over except you. And your MMR determines both who you are matched with AND who you are matched against... so what you're asking for(allies rising in skill as enemies do) is exactly what happens.

As to the AFKs/trolls... Riot can't control them. Riot doesn't force someone to troll you just because it's a series. It's 50% coincidence and 50% perspective. Again going back to the point above... you notice the troll/afk more since you've put a higher mental weight on the game, so it feels more immediately apparent. Also, and I can't say if this applies to you, but since people put that higher weight on the game, they're more likely to overreact to people doing minor mistakes which can lead to greater problems long-term.

When I still played, I loved series. They put a different spin on the game for me. Since I typically play just to focus on becoming a better player, series offered me a chance to change matters up and prove what I'd learned. They also made rising in rank feel like it meant something. If there's no delineation between divisions or tiers, why have them? Series are designed to provide a breakpoint, a moment of accomplishment for people. They work for that, unless you approach the game with a heavy emphasis on winning anyways. Which, sadly, all too many people do.
