I guess it depends on the situation, but you know how the whole team mentality thing works. You're only as strong as your weakest link and in upsetting situations people tend to let that person know, in exuberant amounts. It is definitely easier to point out someone's faults than it is to applaud someone's victory, and that is probably because winning isn't exceptional - it is the expectation.

The best we can do is try our best, be as positive as we can, and move forward!
