How does this new report system work? Does it do anything? I had a player in game and in post game tell me to kill myself, verbally attack me, etc. and I reported him and like, nothing. I realize regular reports don't do anything, unfortunately, but I thought riot actually cared if people are telling players to kill themselves, or talking about players families, etc.
Or no?

aceofthegod2 votesDoesn't seem like a very effective way of doing things. To me that means that someone can be an absolute nightmare to play with as long as he/she spaces out their toxicity so that the reports don't stack up in a small amount of time.

We don't know how long they store the logs so it could be 5 games or your last 20 days worth. Scanning logs isn't time consuming it's storing that amount of data. Yes if a person gets one report in a game they could get away with it but who knows.

I guess that is kinda true. I don't feel like a lot of people fit into the category of planning out their toxicity. There is also no way to know exactly how much you can get away with.
Severity is also a significant factor though.
SmokedAlmonds1 votesAfter someone gets enough reports, or more importantly reported in enough games, it triggers an automated review of your chat. Punishments are then handed out based on the results of that review.
