The problem with preseason isn't just the balance changes

It's the attitude of the players. For some reason people think that because it is preseason and people are encouraged to experiment, it is acceptable to AFK, feed, or troll. I don't care if you are trying out some "non meta" strat - I welcome change and those who try to create it - if you queue for a ranked game, you are there to give it your best shot at winning for the entire duration of the match.

I will probably be avoiding this game for a few months because I'm seeing at least one of the following in almost every ranked game (from Diamond players): "ADC or feed" in champ select. "open mid" or "I'll be in the fountain" after 5 minutes into game.

It'd be really nice to see a statement from Riot addressing the rampant unsportsmanlike behaviour, reminding people that they still hand out bans in preseason.
