They've never done this lore focus before, and its affecting gameplay in a way that isn't just "Look we got a new mode for you to play." We're always given the choice to play new modes that greatly effect gameplay, getting to play a champion needs to have the same player agency.

I read act 3 it never said anywhere that MF attempted to blow up GP ship it just skipped to it
