May not be a popular thing on these forums, but you guys up vote posts calling for riot employees to be fired or calling them idiots for nerfing a champ.

But in the game you're all perfect angels.....

Right.

As a community we're more worried about toxic results than the behaviors that cause them.

An example from a ranked game:

"Sorry guys for feeding yasuo; I've been texting and he kept attacking me." (Apparently not toxic lol)

"Why the fuck are you texting now?" - toxic lol

See the problem? Go play a pick up basketball game and troll people: you won't get a friendly response. Some people are actually trying and it gets frustrating as hell to have competitive games ruined.

Oh, but you shouldn't get mad about it.... that's toxic. Shove off very few people including riot know what toxic is.

Dunkey is right.

The problem isn't getting mad about it. That much is understandable. However, going on record in the in-game chat that you hope someone gets gunned down in real life because of their conduct in a video game is just asking for reports. Intentional feeding is an issue, but solving it is more difficult than the more blatant stuff like chat toxicity.

Dunkey is not right. He broke the Summoner's Code and was rightly punished. End of story.

Dunkey created his own troll.

When people looked at Malphites match history, they couldn't find any examples of him trolling in the past. It stands to reason that he recognized Dunkey and wanted his 5 seconds of fame. Dunkey's over-the-top reactions to trolls are the best way to get into one of Dunkey's videos, so the logical thing to do if you want to be featured there is not to play your best but to troll.

And thus toxicity created the troll.

Getting mad is one thing, but the toxic portion of the community doesn't seem to know how to act like a decent human being while they're upset. Most of the community doesn't act in a way to get a chat restriction, let alone banned for their over the top language. If you're getting restrictions and bans, you're the one who needs to get your act together and learn how to manage your words.

No one I know is saying don't get mad. Most people are saying getting mad doesn't give you the right to respond with your own poor/bad behavior. There is his expression I learned as a kid - two wrongs don't make a right.

Also, no one is saying intentional feeding or anything else isn't an issue. That's some straw man argument people are making to defend Dunkey.

Finally, Dunkey's verbal abuse didn't just affect the person it was directed at. Like the Malphite's action, it also hurt the experience of the players on Dunkey's team by all likelihood. I don't enjoy hearing other teammates bash other teammates. This is mostly from a selfish stance too - I know that when one player rages back it means that's at least 2 players now who are probably not going to contribute effectively to the game.

I don't know why people rage at feeders/trolls, the only reason they feeds is just to get that kind of reactions from you. Might as well sit back and report them after the game. When was the last time you say "Stop feeding" and the feeder actually stop?
