Isn't it illegal regardless of what Riot thinks?
It's a federal offence in practically anywhere with a functioning legal system - usually accompanied with a maximum of 10 years jail time. Oh and that's on top of a fine that can range wildly from 5000$ to 500 000$.
Also, you will probably never be able to touch a computer again in your life.
Yes they should be responsible for damage they cause.. their actions are unlawful and childish
