Supports are like school teachers

You never know what kinda student you are going to get. Are you going to get one that already knows what to do but just needs some help or are you going to get one that knows nothing and needs complete hand holding? Are you going to get that kid who thinks they know everything and yells at you because they messed up? Are you going to get the one that knows they aren't very good and just rolls with their mistakes? No matter who you get supports are there to help the student but some just don't want it.

Edit: Mister Punches put it nicely. They're overworked, underpaid, and deal with abuse from the people that they serve and protect?

Yeah, that sounds like a support player. We need more love for our supports.

As a support main I like this. Also you did forget two type of student the one the forgets you're even there and the student who stand next to you as they worship the ground you work on.

And some support/teachers are just filling in for the day because they had no other choice; all the other roles were taken.

Depends on what kind of school teacher you're talking about.

I remember back in my junior days a few teachers were like "Imma carry you guys with my such impressive knowledge base and skill/experience in my expertise why are you still dogshat?" While in reality they really didn't do all that much and had a terrible attitude.

No I don't. I make mistakes all the time; I admit it. Most of the time, I'm more than content with being ignored.

But when I Braum wall a Sona ult and Ez ult, tank turret while our 2/3's dead Jinx gets a double kill. Then Body block and die to an incoming Hecerim while Jinx escapes safely under our Tower. . . . A "thanks" or "gj" would be nice.

Instead our Midlane congratulates [only] Jinx, and enemy Sona states "Jinx OP". item 3070 Braum

Yeah. I know that I f*ck up a lot, unless I am playing Leona, I can't be beat as Leona (this is a joke), but in cases that a support carries, most of the time it is the ADC getting all of the praise.

And when the ADC runs in at 1/4 health, while you are warding drag, and dies, it's "WOW Support so trash. 9x report."

Sometimes it feels like all compliments are reserved for ADC's while all insults are reserved for Supports, so it feels good to get a little recognition sometimes.

Still don't understand why you can get reported for no sightstone but nobody enforces upgrading trinkets.

Yeah, don't give me "Sightstone is amazing..." because I already know. I love the item. It's amazing. It keeps me up at night. But so are the trinkets. So why aren't they equally enforced? Good god.

People think it is the supports one and only job to ward everything. I mean might as well leave space for vision wards because you dont place enough wards for you team, while you have a sweeper to clear up enemy wards, and everyone has base trinket. totally fair to the support... item 3070

Thank you so much for this . Lol. I just came out of a game where I was playing Leona support and was the moderator of the game, trying to get Lee sin and Ashe to stop talking sh*t at each other.

I find myself doing this a lot honestly, and it just feels like you're trying to break up an argument in class. I know how this feels too, as I have served as an EA and plan to be a high school teacher.

Your analogy is actually spot on.
