The forum is getting spammed by the same kinds of threads over and over again and it would be great if someone could put this question to rest.

I think rekt522 meant; how is it determined who gets the gift before who? Another Rioter I asked did not know. It's not alphabetical nor by region. Is it a matter of earlier accounts being rewarded first? Mine is 9 months old and I haven't gotten the gift yet.

It probably does have a list of filters, I'd guess users that have been active over the past year will get it. So its probably by last login date and the distribution is made 24/7 but in 'chunks' to avoid unnecessary stress on the servers.

Mine is from 2011 and I haven't gotten it yet, My name starts with X but another friend with an X got theirs. I know for a fact I haven't gotten as much as a warning let alone banned or chat restricted, etc so I have no idea how they are choosing. Just seems random maybe.

It's not based on when the account was created because I made mine in season 1 and I still haven't gotten my gift
