I know I can't be the only one who just keeps assuming the first game mode is normal and then accidentally plays ranked, thinking it's just draft... Literally every ranked game I've played this season has been by mistake. Riot pls it's not easy breaking a 5 year old habit...
Riot's theme last year was diversity, this year it's paying attention to the in game client.

knowing riot, it's either a) an awful UX and UI decision that they ignorantly decided to ship, or b) something intentional to manipulate players into playing more ranked because they want to artificially create a competitive atmosphere like Korea's, which is never going to happen
I played 1 ranked game because of this. I've played 1 ranked game ever.
If Riot would be kind enough to removed that game from my history after this fix, I would greatly appreciate it.
The first game mode IIRC was Teambuilder .. 
Well, at least now we all know how they got the stat: "We saw a big increase in ranked play after the introduction of Dynamic queue" :^)
