Keyboard or Mouse for Spells? Looking for Perspective

Wanted to get some community opinion on the use of a mouse vs a keyboard for spells.

I've been playing lol since midway through s2, and have been using a razor naga for everything. Before lol I primarily played MMOs with a massive amount of spells to keep track of, and always used my left hand for movement (wsad/qe) and my mouse for all of my spells. With 12 programmable mouse buttons for my thumb on the naga I would map 12, then another 12 for shift+ and 12 more for cntrl+, this gave me quick access to many things I needed to be effective while playing a MMO.

Enter MOBA.... since I was already used to using my thumb for spells I immediately mapped qwer/df to my first 6 thumb buttons on my mouse for LOL, the 7-12 buttons mapped to 1-6 for item actives and turned on autocast for everything. I've been playing lol so long like this that its pretty much second nature. So in addition to using the mouse for click movement, i'm using it for spells as well, and can effectively play this game with one hand. Not sure that's good.

I wonder if I'm hurting myself by doing everything on my mouse. Is there any real advantage that anyone can point out with using my mouse for movement only and keyboard for all my spells/actives?

What are your thoughts?

If you're dexterous and comfortable enough using one hand, why not? I like the standard qwer/df for spells and summoners because I use the buttons on my mouse for active and warding. I couldn't really say if there's a benefit to any one setup over another. I like to think that I have a quicker reaction time if I need to cancel placing a ward or something to use a spell and escape, but pretty that's just all in my head.

It's up to you, I know some kid got diamond with Teemo only using his mouse so.

Really it's up to you, as it's all about comfort. I'm used to other games, so I change my setup to best match them.

1 and 2 are my summoners, Mouse 4 and 5 for item 2 and my trinket, Z and C for items 1 and 3, and I use 3 for item 4.

Basically I keep my mouse buttons for stuff I have to use my mouse to aim like my trinket or bork, and keyboard keys for less specific stuff like hydra and ancient coin.

I personally prefer a keyboard, but if you like the mouse, go for it. More often than not, I forget about the side buttons on my mouse.
