Did I deserve this 14 day ban?

So last month I was banned for 14 days, I was reading RiotLytes ask.fm earlier saying people who have gotten 7-14 day banned are due to excessive toxicity SUCH AS racism, homophobia, etc. Anything that ranges from "hey get cancer" to "go kill urself"

So right here is my tribunal case, i'm still unsure to how this was a 14 day ban, but I am 100%! sure I have never told anyone to get cancer or anything like that, the worst things I say are firstly, "Ok _ just play passive and dont feed any more, we got this"

"ok man, wtf was that? that was entirely your fault, you shouldn't be doing that. All I told you was to ward and farm under turret but that wasnt what you did"

Now, in my case, I may have gotten a little heated, but at the beginning of the game I was REALLY trying to stop my team mates from being toxic, maybe I should have just shut up, but everyone reacts to situations differently.

I'm still unsure how this was a 14-day ban, I never complained to Riot that I got a 14 day ban, I just took the 14 day ban because I heard there was a new system, and 4-5 months before this ban I got a 5 game chat restriction, so I had though after restrictions you go from a month ban to 14 day ban instead. 5 games people, I see tons of people with a 35-100+ chat restriction and I have no idea how they accumulated that much.

Anyways, its to you guys to see wether my case was worth a 14 day ban. Because i'm pretty sure 14 day bans are for the most toxic players in the league community.

I'm a little upset that I wont be getting ranked rewards, but 2 days ago Lyte said they were still considering changes, but his post earlier today sounded more like a final decision. I'm really upset that this was delivered to us very, very late. I've tried my best this season to get to gold. Over 600+ ranked games, down the drain and I dont get my rewards. =|

The above is all definitely something I'd consider reporting you for. You also neglected to pull those lines out from your list of toxic things you said. THOSE are the reason that (from the game at least) you got hit with a ban.

Now, I might not PERSONALLY report you for THIS game, but ONLY because you tried to be the voice of reason ahead of time, and after that your transgressions, while definitely present, at least weren't hugely vitriolic. I'd definitely strongly consider it though, especially if I were Ezreal or Singed.

However, you only end up in a position for bans if you get reports in a decent sample size of your games: one bad game will NOT cause a review of your account.

Ergo you've had at least a decent number of games where this sort of thing occurs. With that in mind, I do think it's deserved.

Are you in the worst % of players? Absolutely not. But I'd take a look at your mid-to-late game chat performance: it looks like, although you try to be the voice of reason early on, you let things get under your skin and start chat-tilting until you're throwing out insults and threats. Remember: even if it's ranked, it's just a game -- you may lose those 20lp and have to win another game, but that's better than insulting your teammates (no matter HOW bad they were to you first).

Remember as people state time and time again the bans are for continuous toxic behavior. This is only one games of probably many that you were toxic in, and this just so happen to be the final one till the ban finally got issued. Learn from this and hopefully you change your attitude!

No you didn't. At all lol. You actually tried to calm down your team. Lyte is trying to create a toxic environment, though.
