₪Bronze should be an actual rank, not a cesspool of poor players₪

It's time that you actually had to win a certain number of games to get into Bronze. It can't be that as long as you played ranked you will get to enter Bronze just because it's the lowest rank. I think that players should be kicked out of Bronze if they are at 0 LP Bronze 5, the same way you can be demoted to Silver from Gold 5. Also with this feature, so people don't abuse it as a reset you can't enter a ranked game for 3 days after being kicked out of Bronze. This way players that are supposedly stuck in Bronze, have another chance at starting higher in Bronze and won't be stuck in Bronze when they play at "Gold" level. Just incase, players in Bronze can not be placed higher than Bronze I, otherwise Silver ELOS would have an influx of really lucky bad players.

I just think that Bronze should go back to the way it was in season 2, where you needed to have a certain MMR. Atleast that's what I heard.

S1, Bronze was like top 30-20% or summit and genuinely mattered. It was equivelant to gold today (and gold back then was equal to high plat/low diamond). They devalued all ranks so bads could get nice things.

why? there is already a lowest rank. it is called bronze. I don't see why there needs to be something below the lowest

The only thing I don't like about this idea is that people like myself who don't play ranked because we don't like it would get lumped together with the "too bad to get a rank" players rather than "chose not to play ranked" players, which defeats the purpose of me not wanting to play ranked (I want to avoid any sort of rank tag so people don't treat me like I'm either trash or some gaming god because I rank higher or lower than them).

Yes. Riot needs to restrict the access to ranked games more than they are now. Low elo feels like a true lottery with all the disparity of skill level going around. You don't feel all that good about your play when you win and you just feel angry from getting stomped. Ideally every match should be close games, that'd feel fantastic but it isn't. It's always a stomp.

Getting into bronze is actually quite an achievement nowadays. Did you know there are less bronze players than gold players? They seem to be forming a supreme cult or something.

Adding another tier doesn't change anything. Splitting Bronze up into two (let's say Bronze and Wood) doesn't change the fact that the people in Wood would still be worse than those in Bronze. It wouldn't mean all those in Bronze would be "free from the feeders" and end up in Silver. At the end of the day, if someone doesn't rise up after (let's say 100 games) they don't deserve to rise in the rankings. If there is 50% chance for each player to be a feeder/afk/troll, you should be winning more than you lose. That means 2/5 of their team is bad, 2/5 of your team is bad. And there is a 50/50 chance one more guy on their team is bad, as long as you are better than he/she, you will win more games than you lose. People always remember the bad times, when you had the feeder/afk/troll, but nobody remembers the times when that person was on the other team.

That sounds cool, 1 gripe though,

If say I get kicked out of B5 0LP because I suck too hard, I should be able to get back into rank again after say maybe 5 placement matches instead of doing 10 all over again, assuming if I go back into ranked within the same season I get kicked out.

And also there should be a smoothing period where one can't immediately get back into ranked after getting kicked out, similarly one can't get immediately kicked out when they are just placed into ranked.

Here's the thing: Back in S1, everyone had a number for ranking. They could have a cutoff and say that 1275 is Bronze and everyone who couldn't reach/maintain that rank was, effectively, unranked. Then they decided to hide the Elo/MMR behind Divisions and Tiers and at that point, they needed something to call the bottom of the ranked ladders. They decided to make that Bronze.

TBH, I wasn't thrilled with the change. I still don't particularly like how the tiers work. I understand the goal (to help you find other players at a similar skill level), but I still don't care for the implementation. I personally thought the old numbered system made it easier to see where you fit vs. everyone else.

I dont think kicking people out of ranked for being bad is a good idea. I do think that having a tier lower than bronze is a good idea. I am bronze V and I see the difference between a 800 MMR bronze V and a 0 MMR bronze V

Bring back Unranked!

If you're not good enough for Bronze, the game will just display as if you never play ranked games.

As a silver. Being paired up with bronzes is the worst. Winning/Losing mmr system should return back to KDA.
