I'm sure Riot will have a fair system in place so I just wait with a bated breath to see how we will all get compensated.

There's no "if." Riot announced in the video that they will be compensating people who bought runes and rune pages when they make the change to the new system.

If you intend to dedicate time to this game, the lack of rune pages acts like a wall to the progress of the player. Having multiple rune pages and runes allows to be more free to try out different champions, experiment with new page set-ups, etc. Runes and rune pages were never cheap.

I hope you realize about 70% of the runes are useless or useful only for certain champions under certain circumstances. There is absolutely no reason to invest so much time and IP in something that you won't even use Don't expect full refund tho, Rito will never give anyone tens of thousands of IP.

You typed in the quote of my post, so it threw me off. It's for the reason that they're useful to certain champions that gives reason to buy them. The "One-for-all" pages only work for so many champions. Also I can't imagine them giving a full refund.
