So Akali has really high base stats and base movement speed
despite having 3 longer-than-flash gapclosers, sustain, free resistances, and stealth.

She can be a bit overwhelming to play against as soon as she gets a single edge, but she has a pretty limited manner of fighting as far as maximum damage output. Plus she can be fairly easy to bully in lane, allowing you to keep her down a bit and give yourself an edge over her. The main issue (not really a problem, because this is common for a lot of champions and I don't think it is inherently bad) is that Akali requires coordination and communication to play against, which is why she can be a terror at low levels of soloqueue. Personally, I find the best thing to help you against Akali is knowing how Akali is played and finding a champion you are comfortable on to fight her as. Having a bit of CC and AOE on your champion can do wonders for dueling her.
EDIT: Forgot to say that this is just my take on the matter. I don't play Akali myself and I don't have extensive experience against her, only moderate.
