Don't like the skins you own .. Want a little RP back ... or give it to a friend who likes it

Like almost everyone owns a skin which he/she doesn't even like . So Riot can do something about it ... as in refund skins for half RP or less. Or give it to someone who likes it.

  1. This event can be for a day or two
  2. People can exchange skins
  3. Get a refund in short form of RP so they can buy skin of their choice
  4. Can be limited up to 4 - 5 transactions
  5. Disadvantage - people can transfer skins to smurf :/
  6. Advantage - Good guy RIOT ( make summoners happy ) and Taric pink taric sad ;)

EXAMPLE - Happy thanksgiving event - give skins to your friend which you own without any cost. or refund it for half rp cost or less to buy more skins.

[Still a rough idea .. . many more advantages and disadvantages]

I vote Maybe. Why not yes or no? Well, I've got skins I don't really want. Basically because I'm addicted to the Mystery Skin sales; that means I get both garbage and awesome stuff. No reason to keep the ones I'll never use, right? Well yes, but if I gift them away or trade or w/e with this...I'd just end up getting the same ones again at the next Mystery Skin sale!

If I could gift the skins off, I definitely would though. I know I have a ton of skins I'll never use, that friends would love to have.

They might be more willing if instead u got IP back, and could only send each person one gift (stopping smurf accounts from transferring all their skins)

Trading skins? Maybe. Refund for any amount won't work as some skins might have been a mystery gift and can't be valued at the skin cost. All of the skins I have have either been gifted by a friend or by myself with a mystery skin purchase so none of the skins I own can be valued at their skin cost.

For a second, I thought the title said "Want a little RP hack?" and I was about to downvote to all oblivion...

Honestly, I'd be fine with just allowing more than 3 refunds per account, as its a deathly noob trap anyway. I think giving another 3 refunds per season will suffice.

This will never happen seeing as this would just open the door to a black market that would lose riot money. "Oi, don't like X skin? I'll trade you for Y skin mate"

I got 5 Caitlyn skins from Mystery Gifting and it would be cool to trade a skin to someone who doesn't have it for a skin for a champion that I don't have one for.

I think it might be better to give IP for skins. You don't want the skin, but Riot doesn't want to give back the RP for various reasons (IE you wouldnt spend money to buy a skin because you can just trade all your unwanted skins for the RP to get the new one.) If it refunds you by giving you IP you can use the IP to get stuff you want, but it doesn't get in the way of potential sales nearly as much.
