Does dodging placements count as a loss?

long story short last season on my other act i was gold5, i won 8/10 of my placements and got b2

so this season, id rather not play thru these placement games because i know where im going. Can i dodge my placements so i dont have to waste time to just get demoted regardless how many i win?

gold5 to a b2 drop...after winning 8/10.....was harsh, dont wanna actually try these games just to get dropped so jw if i can just dodge them and find something better to do with my time then play em out or just afk in the game.....

some of u probably hate me for saying this and at first i wouldnt blame you...but if u lose 10 and get put in bronze from gold or u win 10 and get bronze from gold...whats the point of trying those games to begin with?

Interesting idea. Last year in my placements I had a problem in champ select where I couldn't pick my champion and the queue got interrupted because of me. This game wasn't mentioned anywhere. Not a loss, not a win.

yes it doesnt count fyi, now that i got 20min que to figure that out

its w/e, im just playing other games and once i get ina match i just afk

for those thats gonna hate, if u got ranked say diamond wether u lost or won...would u try? case n point

Yesterday right when dynamic queue went down I was trying to lock-in a champ. It wouldnt let me and after 8 mins the game disbanded. I had to wait like 3 mins to re-queue but did not receive a loss. I get what your saying though... its pretty shitty that they have players drop so far at the start of the season. Placement matches just a waste of time.
