Why is AR urf still a thing?

if the reason we have it is because people "pick op champs" then whats the fix for this crapshoot on who gets an op champ now?

you know what i liked about old urf? if people picked something op thats ok because......so can i!!!!!

not anymore tho, now we still get to fight people like eve fizz and veig but now instead of using one of them or someone useful i get people like fiora

bring back being able to pick your champion, if it was to bandaid people picking op champs then let me be the first to tell you that was a fk up and all it did was change it to "which team won the lottery on getting a op champ while the rest of us sit and get pwned by people we cant do anything about

let us pick our champions because the reasoning behind gimping us to the op champs now is not working

i think the reason wasnt just lots of op picks, it was also probably the brutal lack of certain picks. a lot of champions, mostly attack speed and generally AA dependant champions like fiora, twitch and yasuo were NEVER picked, legit their pickrate was below half of a single percent. i think what riot also tried to accomplish with the all random pick was to even out the Odds of which champions are played.

i could be wrong, but i see it that way. theres at least 10 champions you legit not once would see in the entire urf weekend.

I agree, there could've been a better fix to the situation (Which they've already implemented, the 5 ban system) but adding it so its all random REALLY hurts the fun factor of urf. All Riot has to do is next time switch it back to the old urf, except implement the 5 ban system in it and bam, problem solved urf is great again.

either take all the op's out, make bans for em all, or let me pick my champion

no reason thats logical that i should have to fight an op champ with a non op one while not being able to choose my own guy in the first place

thats dumb, and nobody said buff anything....honestly it mostly feels bad cuz of the huge dmg creep in last 2 seasons left unchecked

You're not allowed to play what you want in URF because that makes whiney trashbad players cry. And Rito James™ would rather cater to them, because, well ... internally, the politics and decision-making of Rito James™ would be indistinguishable from Google (LOL YOU CANT SUGGEST MALES AND FEMALES ARE DIFFERENT).

If I want to play (Old) Taric, Diana, and Swain exclusively in URF, that's my prerogative. But no, not anymore -- I can't play what I want to play because some perma-virgins cried on the forums, and the perma-virgins at Rito James™ were sympathetic to their tears.

URF Diana -- guaranteed to wreck those Ezreal and Nidalee players at Level 6 + item 3116 . Enjoy wrecking faces that arent Garen

Riot needs All-Random game modes to work off random sets of champions, not random individual champions. That way each possible comp has a total 'power budget'. Say each team has a budget of 1000:

Example Team 1: Champ A - 300 Champ B - 200 Champ C - 150 Champ D - 150 Champ E - 200

Total Power: 1000

Team 2: Champ A - 300 Champ B - 300 Champ C - 100 Champ D - 100 Champ E - 200

Total Power: 1000

This would make ARAM and ARURF far more competitive instead of one-sided shit shows.
