Why do high elo players have the need to create a smurf account? Do they lose so much in their current elo that they have to play with worse players to feel better?
I just hate playing against or with smurfs in Ranked, the matchmaking system is already so hard to make and you guys just make it even harder.
My reason for creating a smurf is to help a friend get acclimated with the game. Since 75% of people in his games end up yelling and screaming at my friend I had to come down and even the field a little bit. But unlike most smurfs who come down and beat down the new players I try and handicap myself. I play one of the weakest champions in the game (Taric) and in the weakest role (support) in the game. I really cannot carry in the support role on of the weakest champions in the game despite being a smurf but I can be really annoying to deal with from the opponent's point of view. And that's the point. I want to give my teammates enough time to win the game for themselves. That's how I intended to make my friend better without beating up on all the other new players. I just want my presence to even out the odds the times he does get matched up against smurf players because, let's be honest, they are in nearly every low leveled game anyway. Anywhere from 3-6 smurfs per game seems to be the average in my experience. Sometimes more but never less.
