Has anything in LOL this year gotten you excited?

It's a bit unsettling, but to be completely honest not a single thing has happened so far in LOL 2017 that's really tickled my fancy. Every year before has at least had one thing that got me really eager to dig into forums to learn everything about certain reveals or glued me to the client theorycrafting, yet we've hit the halfway point for 2017 and... I haven't seen a single update that really got me going. Even some of the bigger stuff like the new mastery system coming up has been met with apathy from me. And don't get me started on the disappointment of Rakan from character to gameplay, here's to the next support in 2022 being better :P

Is this just on my end? Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else?

I personally like Rakan, but that's just me. He's probably the first new support(heck, maybe the first new Champ) in a while that I actually like to consistently play, whereas like Bard and Tahm I only dabble in.

I'm also interested in the new honor system; I like that honor will mean more again, instead of being this sorta cool thing that people forget about half the time. The new changes are definitely going to make it front and center again for much longer.

While I think there's room for improvement, this first attempt at the mission system has me...well, not excited per se. Looking forward, at least, to missions to come. I have been playing since S2, while we still had that useless "achievement" button, and it's awesome to finally see some form of that.

Edit: Oh yeah! VISION SCORE. This really simple statistic is awesome to rub in people's faces how good at warding I've been all along lol.

Rakan and Xayah got me and my wife excited. She doesn't play as much now, so we haven't gotten really into trying them out together, but we love the idea of doing it.

But between Jhin and them nothing has really been too interesting.

10 bans got me excited because of the possibility of actually perma 100% banned champs.

And Riot made it "better" by making it so that a champ can get up to 200% banned.
