It's been good on him for a while now, but recently all of a sudden all of them are rushing it. What, did some pro do it?

IMT Huni got it first when he went Yasuo top, so yea every one else started doing it because they think they are Huni or something

Guess it gives more options. You either go with wave clear with item 3087 or with 1v1 potential with item 3046 .

And guess players are finding the latter more favourable.

Probably because it gives you reduced damage against your target. That's always nice to have on a champion you can't really 1v1 when they are ahead anyway

actually, yes, he was used in pro play a few times with phantom dancer, going mostly for splitpushing. And since PD gives better dps, more stickiness and the damage reduction, it is the better option for splitpushing, especially with tanky tops beeing meta. For bursting a squishy, dealing aoe damage in teamfights and fast clearing waves, SS still is the better option, and i'm 100% sure that most 08/15 yasuos would do better with a SS in most situations but still go PD 'cauz thaz what the cool kiz do' these days...

I still prefer statikk most of the time due to the mixed damage it offers and for how well it helps clear a whole wave with two Q's, in case you need to def or hard push. PD has proven to be superior as a dueling option but i still think SS offers quite a lot in terms of harassing your oppent and adding a touch of AoE in his damage.

P.S: Firecannon or no balls....

i have no idea but i'd like to know cus i've tried to like PD and i like shiv better in alot of situtaions. maybe I'm going about it wrong and PD isn't a first rush item but idk

I mean being extra tanky vs your lane sounds good but it just feels like you can't fight till a 2nd item. At least with shiv one or two procs made you feel like you could fight the opponent

Slightly better build path, tankier, more ms, etc. They are both still good options and Shiv is typically the "win harder" option imho, but Yasuo doesn't win a lot of mid (or top) lane match ups right now so P Daddy is the better default item. Yasuo's damage already pretty much caps at IE so any defensive items you can drop in your build is good since you are one of the best sustained damage dealers and in order to do sustained damage.....you have to be alive (hence the BTs, Maws, Scimitars, Death's Dances, and such).

Which is comfortable and convenient. PD is more useful. As Yasuo clearing waves should be mega easy with crits, autos, low cd aoe Q's, and no cool down increasing damage dashes. Shiv just saves you a couple seconds. PD gives more and makes you fight the actual threats, champions, more effectively.

I've been building it lately because it's actually pretty good on him even though you lose the waveclear you would get from Shiv. I'm sure some pro player built it on him in the LCS though

Really? No one knows why? It always you to walk thru minion waves. It allows you to chase your opponent without have to weave thru them. I can't believe this is a question. No wonder why the games are out of control with stupid nonsense.

I think it first started when pro's started going deaths dance, PD, stearks, and maw on Graves basically making him harder to kill than pure tanks along with strong damage. Then streamers probably started rushing PD on Yas using a pseudo Graves build.

PD is overpowered. Phantom Dancer's is 98.92% gold efficient without its _**two **_passives. Statikk Shiv is 87.4% gold efficient, without its passive. Statikk costs more atm...

because its cheaper and its a great item for dueling. also it works well since yasuo wants to move through units. i mean he has his E but regardless if his minions are blocking him well its no more and his mobility is key factor

I became bored one day and decided to try it out. I use it mostly for top lane however. Statikk Shiv is great for mid lane due to all the ranged matchups who cower under their tower at full health.
