I would like to confirm,
Pick order in solo queue is MMR based.
I didn't intend to investigate this, but I inevitably did, I got put in low priority queue.
I was first pick every game for 5 games, everybody below me was a lower MMR.
my low priority queue ended, and everything went back to normal. I wasn't first pick, as people had more MMR than me in my games.
I can confirm it is not random and actually a fact that MMR is the bases of pick order.
R1102 votesIt used to be based on MMR but it was changed to random because the MMR differences within a team are insignificant and the old system lead to people thinking that the first pick was a significantly better player than the last pick.
Siyther1 votesand when i go on a win steak in ranked im am always 1st or 2nd pick but lose a couple and u fall all the way to last or next to last every time .lol i dont think it MMR based but streak based
