Disabling team chat

Hi,

So far, I am muting my team, every game, on the first 10 seconds, I do this because of distraction,

I don't mind being flamed, but I was with my Duo one game, and of course I didn't mute him, and he was replying to them (i couldn't see their messages)

But he was being flamed,

I was so happy I muted them, because I knew I would of been replying, expressing myself, and then your decisions get clouded by your emotion,

Or if I really despised what they said, I would of acted on that,

so, for the past 2 days, I have had my team muted, i've won my last 6 games in a row, it's just so much more peaceful, easier, I know this method won't work for everyone,

But the point of this post is, I would like a "Disable team chat" feature, this will help me loads, since I don't have to block everyone then.

I've been doing the same thing lately, just muting everyone by default and only unmuting people i queued with or who I'm particularly interested in talking to for some reason - and even then I'm ready to mute them if it turns negative.

I'm in favor of Riot adding that, but the options screen could use a few new features along remotely similar lines.

Disabling team chat would be a nice thing to toggle once and forget about since pings could be used to get most basic points across faster. People (mostly ones that have been chat banned before) have requested on the forums to have the ability to block your own chat output so you can rage at people in chat but nobody would actually see it, relieving stress but not risking a ban. People have asked for the ability to hide emotes since they're mostly used to BM, making people more likely to tilt or rage.

This would increase the quality of some people's matches and be a non-factor in others, so there's pretty much no harm from the user end in adding any of these. I see none of these being problematic as the end goal of all of these is to reduce the toll some people take when playing matches.

Couldn't agree more.

all chat is Riot's biggest P.R. problem.

We have an elaborate ping system. And competitive teams all use Teamspeak or Vent.

There is no excuse other than Morello once said in an interview he didn't want to get rid of it. But all of his decisions have hurt League in Balancing at some point.

"/mute all" for president

yes, we can mute

sometimes i tilt, and get a bit aggressive (i think i do) but i never got banned or anything like that what i did is block all chat, i reduced the chat size to minimum, wish i could remove the chat tough
