That feel when you have a silver 5 border playing in plat elo.

For the past week I've been called an elo booster and one person even added me to ask how much PuffyP is paying me to boost this account. And I just said, I'm PuffyP, I'm not an elobooster or eloboosted. He the says that he's reporting me for elo boosting and then unadds me.

So is there anyone in plat+ elo that has been called an elobooster? This is different than being boosted. I'm talking about being the booster himself, because I found it to be quite the compliment to be called a booster. You can also give stories of people calling you a smurf if you want.

First off, you said "that feel when". If you make "that feel when" your title, just start with the feels in your body.

Second, LOL....silver elo boosted? wut? Silver isn't even good xD

I'm plat mmr with Gold 2 as my rank currently. You obviously can't read. The guy that added me was currently platinum. Also, I gave my feels in the body of the post. JUST READ PLEASE

You missed what I was saying. I was saying that if you make "that feel when" your title, you should just state your feels afterwards. Currently, it's read as "that feel when that feel when". Most people will make their title, "that feel when..." and then their post will start "you have a silver border"

And yes, I didn't read that you're in plat elo. Just read that you have silver border and people called you elo booster. So I made a bad decision and assumed that you had a bad game in a norms match and were called an elo booster because you were silver elo. I'm sorry if it offended you that I didn't read your entire post. Though I will say that you never mentioned you're gold 2.

Thanks for the apology. Personally it makes more sense in my head when I state it in this manner. I've seen plenty of people do it the same way as me too, but I understand where you're coming from. But yea, the whole point of this post is to give my story of how people are complimenting me by reporting me for eloboosting.

Still applies lol. Especially considering the border was from last season. Which is another reason I thought you were talking about having a bad game. I've seen plenty of people called elobooster for having bad games, "how much you pay for that account", whereas I've rarely seen anyone called elobooster for being good lol.

He thought I was the guy that was getting payed to boost the account. I mean, it would make sense. I have a silver 5 border and am Gold 2 currently and playing with Plat players often. So, have you ever had a moment where you've been called even just a smurf?

Well, not really a smurf since this is my only account that I can currently use haha. My other one is forever in the depths of forgotten PW until inactivity allow someone else to claim the name (I liked my old name, but I like this one better haha). So I guess you could say this is my smurf.

Well, I forgot my account's password...and it was tied to my undergrad email that I no longer have access to...so I kind of am a smurf lol.

What was your past rank? I'm interested because you said that Silver wasn't that high.

I was gold in the first full season I played. Started playing preseason 3. Wasn't level 30 until there were only a couple months left of season 3. Got gold in season 4. Stopped playing soon after that until January of this year.

And I'm not saying silver isn't that high because "omg I'm gold everyone below me sucks". I can just acknowledge that silver, and even gold, is not high enough for someone to be calling you an elo booster because you're silver xD.

Lol yea. I've only had these people since I've gotten to plat mmr. When I was in gold mmr I was called a smurf. Interesting how you get called one thing in one division and another thing in the next highest.

Wow, this is hilarious on so many levels. It also says a lot about the stigma attached to Rank in this community when someone who actually climbed is accused of boosting just because of a border.

Yup. Had a guy add me and asked if I was a diamond smurf or Korean because of how impressed he was of my early game Nidalee. Just goes to show that it is possible to climb and it is possible to learn this game.
