Question about Ranked Flex

So, since Ranked Flex is a new queue, going off a separate mmr to solo/duo, would playing the 10 pre-season placements be a bad idea, seeing as how we are almost certain to be placed lower when the new season starts? like, if i went 10-0 now, and got placed gold, but then did the same thing in the start of new season, only to be placed low silver; but i could just wait, go 10-0 in the new season and get placed from the start where I'd be placed now?
