Soooo Silver 3? When did stating the amount of divisions you're ahead of someone become a thing? I'm guessing it just sounds cooler than saying "I'm Silver 3 due to placements" lol.

Had someone lecturing me on how to play my main today, she ended with "when you reach my elo, you'll thank me"... I checked afterward and we are the same division (plat 5), though 2 days ago i went thru plat 4 promos 3 times, but hey w/e.
The difference in skill between 5 divisions is so minute especially at lower elo like silver and bronze. I've been all over bronze/silver so trust me :)
There's literally no difference between silver 4 and bronze 2, just mechanics. Likewise for all divisions in lower Elo.
The worst part is when people bring up elo and divisions... in conversations that has nothing to do with competitive play.
