Lore: CAN Kayle and Morgana be "fixed" without ruining them?

I know there is already another thread about this, but I wanted to open up the discussion further without coming forward with a "solution".

What do people think about Kayle and Morg being "angels". Their origins are still other worldly and I know the lore team has stated before that they want to ground these type of characters to Valoran/Runetera. Nasus and Renekton were shifted to be ancient Shuriman. The yordle "mothership" is all but forgotten and Gnar places their history as ancient. And Anivia was placed into the Freljord.

What are people's thoughts on the same happening to Kayle and Morgana? Should it be done? Can it be done? How should it be handled?

Interesting question. They basically represent order and justice vs freedom and individuality. I think they could be linked to Demacia and Noxus quite well in ideals, but there isn't exactly an open spot in either city-state and making these sisters anything less than powerful would be underselling them.

Also, your poll is confusing. What is a completely new rewrite? Karma level story progress? How can they be fine as is if Riot is obviously removing all extraplanar traces?

Personnaly, with lore change mostly around region of runeterra, I would place them in the Mont Targon with other random champ like malphite and ryze.
