This is in every game lol it's nothing new. If you can't put up with a bit of smack talk then you shouldn't be playing a competitive game in general.

thats not an excuse its just justifying toxic behavior thats not smack talk thats being toxic even more so when people spam it through out the game an start "smack talking" an bragging calling other people bad

They actually never wanted to put that in the game but they also wanted overwatch to be early teen friendly I guess.
