Too all viewers here, there seems to be a little confusion. Yes I do know that Riot said he's not the champ. The point of this thread was to ask why it resembles the teaser.
A black and white swirl for a duality-based champ is not surprising. You'll notice that Riot's two swirls aren't as neatly differentiated as DhaMa's.

I do hope they actually give this guy a little bit more credit though. Even if their champion isn't a direct interpretation it is still a little too similar to just shrug it off as completely original. Like, a dual champion character based off of a yin yang concept as pointed to by the icons, the "They are coming" stuff, and the masks that just recently came out on the PBE seems a little convenient.
It's really cute though can you imagine the movement animation of them just floating around together like seals underwater or something
Riots basically announced that it was inspired by dhama, but was in creation long before the thread was made.
