This is wrong. Got reported for carrying and not "supporting"

Enter blind pick. Double auto lock. Both adcs. She types into chat "adc" Suddenly im the bad guy.

She fed through out the game. 5/11/14 (Being unskilled is not the point of this post and not the reason im writing this.. its a point of view) I however having a horrible start to the game (1/4/0) ended up with a fairly decent 10/10/14) It was a close game.. (No it is not a great score. But we did make a comeback)

Not to mention i was harassed by every single player except annie, who i worked hard with to get control of the game. She was fantastic.

AND THEN. I get reported for negative attitude. i got the pop up and everything. Yet the whole game i was positive, supporting team verbally.

Pantheon and wukong gave up harassing me and started working with us. Sivir continued to do her thanggg like run around and died

The whole point of this post is that i got reported. Essentially "marked" as a bad guy to riot. But for what? playing blind pick and getting 2 auto locks..? No auto locking is not cool. I get that. She did the EXACT same thing. She posts in chat "adc" and that means im the bad guy. She did it after locking so how is it my fault.

I dont want this report on my record Riot. It makes no sense. I didnt troll. I had a postivive attitude. I was harrassed all game for not being in meta, and yet i was reported. Its wrong.

The first thing I want to note is that the pop-up you received after that game did not relate to that game. There's two reasons I say this:

  • First, those pop-ups are not issued for single reports, but for "spikes" in your reported games - as an example, if you are normally reported in about 1% of your games, and over the course of a day or 2, are reported in 10-15% of your games, that represents a massive increase in report rate, and would trigger a pop-up.
  • Second, those pop-ups have a delay between when they're triggered and when they show up, specifically intended to obfuscate which game the triggering report came from.

Riot has done a poor job of communicating either of these facts, and they're not very well-known, but I think they are applicable here.

The second thing I want to note is this: every gets reported. The nicest players you know, who are always friendly and positive have some reports on their account. Unless they have a massive number of reports (reported in 12-25% of their games, compared to the average 4-5%), the systems don't pay attention to them.

That report - if you genuinely weren't toxic, and if you genuinely were reported in that game (which I do believe happened, because that's how players like that work) - doesn't matter, unless you have a huge number of other reports built up as well. It is, for all intents and purposes, meaningless.

I'm not saying you don't have every right to be irritated at this situation, because you do. What I want to do is assure you that whatever report you may have received for that game will have approximately zero effect on the health of your account, in no small part because basically everyone gets reports like this sometimes, and so the system was designed to account for that and minimize the effect it has on individual players.

autolocking is BM. you're both rude. skill is irrelevant on the BM scale. to expand, you can be diamond douche; just because you're good at the game doesn't make you any less toxic/salty if you do rude things. you have nothing to fear if you truly did nothing wrong. but as usual, people here never tell the full story.

Sorry about that.

Marksman are typically the most toxic player in my experience (ex- support main... for that reason actually).

I just lost a normals game where Vayne literally refused to come team-fight and continued farming bot, then got mad at us for "fighting without her". They don't realize that when they are going against the flow of 4 other players that they are in the wrong.
