My friends are getting demoted and no one wants to play this game anymore.

All it is, get to gold 5 quit playing until next season? How is this fun. I literally at this point... to get rewards have to pay to play since I actually have a life and need boosted. WHY CAN'T REWARDS BE FOR EVERYONE? WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE WHOEVER CAN SPAM QUE UNTIL GOLD 5? It doesn't take much skill I promise. It's like watering a plant at this point just for it to die like a real "season" I dont think Ill ever invest a single dime into this game again. I'd rather spend time boosting my character on runescape on non members than* play this game any further. People easily buy diamonds. And Riot doesn't even have the powers to track them down and destroy them like Runescape does. I should of stayed playing a game with actual progress. I have a job and family. I don't have time to play with afkers/bad players.

My friend got gold 4 and was demoted to silver 1 in 4 days. How is this even fair? They love the community and they play excellent and respect people why is demotion even allowed? How do you earn demotion? Is this HALO 3? Remember when everyone rushed to get 50s then played social slayer?? Isn't this just like it ? Won't we just drop the game completely one day and forget ranks just like we did with that?

You do get a reward just for playing. It's a nice Summoner Icon. You play above a bronze level, they give you another reward, a nice shiny border for your loading screen. You could have played ranked consistently throughout the entire season to get to gold, rather than procrastinating most of the games until the end if the other rewards mattered so much to you. You knew they would come eventually, why'd you put it off if you wanted it?

Your problem is that you're getting burnt out on your quest for a Sivir skin. You use to play a ranked game every once in a while, seldom more than once a day, but since September 23rd you've been pushing yourself, playing upwards of 16 ranked games a day. It's no wonder you and your friends got burnt out.

Add to that the fact that your priorities are backwards. You're focused on winning instead of having fun. And by trying to focus on winning, you're actually focusing on not loosing, which is stressing you out more than you need to whenever anyone does anything wrong. Relax, just play your best and enjoy the game. This will help make it fun again.

Then ward skins are the probably what you should be aiming for, participation rewards. Victorious skins are considered rewards for people who worked hard for it. Riot wants to reward people from playing their game in a competitive manner, You can think about it like this, you get 400 rp for reaching level 5,that's free. IP boosts for linking e-mail address. Alistar and Tristana skins for linking facebook/youtube. Riot is already giving out tons of free stuff, Victorious skins simply aren't just one of them.

The reason why people get rewards at gold is because they grind bronze is 50ish percent of players sliver is 30-40ish gold- challenger is literally the top 20 percent maybe even top 10 percent my friends Mmr was so high he got gold 5 right outtahis placement games

I think my answer to you is don't play just to get a reward from Riot. Rewards are being given to a smaller percentage of the players to reward them for their hard effort/skill in the game. But if you're playing league just to get a reward then you probably shouldn't be playing it at all. The game is about the challenge and excitement of going into game and matching your skill up against others.

As for getting demoted, well that's kind of the point of Ranked. Ranked matches are just a way for the competitive people to compare themselves to others. It's a way to see generally how much you need to improve. If you don't like that pressure or don't see a point in it, then play normals, that's what I did for a long time (I've started picking up Ranked more as of late). How would it be fair to the people in gold 4 to be compared to people they could beat? (Btw demotions like that only occur if you MMR is already really low so even if they didn't feel outmatched too often that was against people of a lower skill level, the rising and falling system is more or less accurate to skill level and demotions/promotions don't happen for no reason).

If you prefer Runescape, that's great, I personally never liked it because it forced you to pay a subscription whereas I much prefer League's free to play model.

As for account boosing, Riot actually catches a lot of those people, not always right away because it can be hard to tell until their actual skill level shows up.

What so you're saying that if someone else gets a trophy then you need to get one too? If you don't then its not fair?

What is the point of a reward if you didn't do anything to earn it? Don't act like a child.
