Learning the godyr

I have started to play Godye (Udyr) and I have a few questions I would love answered, first is when an Udyr who can farm devourer (like 50 stacks in 15 minutes) gets devourer does that udyr need more then one other AD danage item? Second and final is, to sustain the jungle should you either go ap and start/max pheonix and leave 1 point in tiger until final levels, or tiger and do the exact opposite? Much thanks, you are helping a bronzy get better, thank you again

Okay first problem. You are trying to go for 50 stacks in 15 minutes. Udyr has so much more of an impact then people want to believe early game. You got insane ganking power use it

2nd You are going devourer. That item was nerfed into the ground. Dont consider it. Warriors is much better. I used to go devourer, but ever since going warriors not only am I more consistant with my wins, im more confident in my ganks, Trust me the extra AD is above and beyond the effect devourer gives you especially since at lv 18 you have 1.9 AS with your passive anyways

3rd After you go warriors start going tanky. Either Frozen heart or Spirit visage depending on the enemy teams focused damage. You will want those CDR items to keep your stances going. If its a tie between the two go frozen first, you need the extra mana pool. If you dont need the magic resist early then opt for a BVeil later on, helps keep you tankier

4th about the jungle. With a decent knowledge of how to use udyrs passive to its max you can clear your first 3 camps without using a single pot. I do it all the time. Anyone who thinks continuing after the 3rd camp without upgrading is silly, you lose a ton of gold that way. HOWEVER a gank on mid is usually a good idea at this point ( pop that pot first) usually gives the mid lane a good advantage even if you dont get the kill

5th Max tiger first and then depending on what you need more go turtle or bear. While Tiger is a must, dont fall into a routine of maxing either bear or turtle after tiger as its heavily dependent on how the enemy team is doing. lv 1 get tiger, lv 2 get turtle, lv 3 get bear, then read the game

6th dont worry too much about the full build as most of my games with udyr end around or before I finish my 4th item (including boots) However a typical build for me goes. Warriors chilling smite, boots of swiftness, frozen heart, Trinity force, Bveil (magic resist is gotten before hand). For a low budget build it does work

7th if you know you are getting into an engagement soon make sure to stack your passive early

8th dont spam your stances to keep your passive up. If you need your passive up alot try and spread the abilities out so you dont ravage your mana (major point I see where udyrs fail a ton)

Not really a "Helpful" bit of advice I can give since I don't use Udyr, but if you have the ultimate skin and aren't somewhat confident with Udyr, its better not to use it to avoid raging team mates who will say "OMG REFUND SKIN NOOBTARD"

But yes, everything said above is right.

I'm not much of an Udyr player but I recommend you check on youtube channel "Trick2g". He is pretty well known for his Godyr. You can probably learn all you need from him.

Best of luck to you.
