Possible solution for "elo hell"

What do you guys think, using the new champion mastery in ranked provisionals to see who had the most ward coverage or kill participation or turrets destroyed, see if they win or lost, check averages for that champ in certain tiers (I.E. Diamond or Bronze tier ratings) and place them according to there average placement after there 10 games, now trolls can't force you into bronze and it will be much harder to be carried by smurfs or people who are just plain good. I personally think that this would be much more effective and provide a healthier environment for poeple who feel they got queued with "feeders" or "trolls" then the current system! Please share your opinions.

Except stats have nothing to do with individual skill. Your proposal doesn't include ways to show EFFECTIVE ward placement. It doesn't show whether you are mechanically better than the people you are playing with. It doesn't show that you have better decision making skills. Or knowledge of items and builds.

The only thing stats (K/D) show is that you were better, in that game, than the people you were playing against. Or more lucky. Or more fed. Or they made more costly decisions. Or all of the above. And a warding score is really easy to jack up, when you are sitting in your base, losing, and making sure you have fantastic vision between Nexus and fountain.

Good idea in theory, but loses points in practicality.

The porblem here is that stats dont mean much. You can be 50/0 and when you lose its pretty much your fault because you didnt do anything with it. Wards are completely iseless since you can sit in base and spam them, turrets destroyed are equally stupid for obvious reasons, and your stats only show how well youve dont against your enemies. You obviously can have better stats in silver than a diamond player in diamond. But thwt doesnt mean your better than silver
