Would this comp work?

My question to all of you is... Would it be possible to have a team comp designed to avoid team fights all game, and splitpush/take objectives asap. Everyone would buy wards/run teleport to ward port, buy Statik shivs, and keep lanes pushed always. Only engage when your team has a numbers advantage, and only dive if it gets you a tower.

A good team i think would be:

Top: tryn

Mid:yi/aatrox

Jungle: yi/aatrox

Adc:quinn

Support:janna

This team allows a ton of escape/disengage, and lets you take towers really fast. Jinx could work, but lacks the mobility to be effective, and without protection would be caught out.

watch some pro matches. they have comps like that.

they've got split push comps FNATIC is a great example of this where they have their top/mid split push for days. key: have good waveclear from their adc and good disengage from the support/jungle.

you see fnatic do this a lot with kassadin/lissandra/zed/fizz/ahri and yes aatrox

you can also build a disengage team with a lot of poke. and siege down turrets while having one player off split pushing. just again have to have that disengage and wave clear. key success point. ward control too

Jinx wouldn't be as effective as you think given that her escape/self-peel isn't that strong (it's actually her biggest weakness). Problem with this make up is that once the opposing team decides to group up you guys could be in trouble.

But the whole point is to spread out so they need to. I honestly think if you can keep the tower advantage, you can win easily. Once you get to their inhibs you just threaten backdoors every time they push a lane.

Most teams won't "need" to spread out though. If you guys are split pushing everywhere they can group push a lane to get to the inhibs faster then a solo could or send a defender or two back to deal with your pushers. I mean.. give it a try if you want to! lol

you have to have duelists. a guy who can 1v1 anyone to do it though. u see a lot of pro's do this sending their assassin to split push. if the opposing team is behind and have no one who can hold the turret against the assassin. then they lose. if they do have someone who can hold hte lane. but then their assassin can return to the teamfight first while the other is even a bit behind then. they can also lose. it's a legit strat. jax is a great split pusher atm for example. once he has triforce and bork, he's pretty much able to solo anyone atm. except rengar. he's still a hard counter to him.

Well, This only took Fnatic so far vice Royal. I think Fnatic VS SKT would've been a more exiting finals but that's just me.

Actually, the reason FNC lost so badly is that they got banned out of their cheese strat... They could've still tried a Ahri/Ryze TP combo, but they weren't practiced to do so against top-tier teams, and the fact that they banned kass (by far Peke's best champ, at least with TP) and Lissandra (the main TP pick for Soaz) killed the play before it even sprouted.

But all in all, I do believe that a low-level split team is bound to fail... Until you have the mastery of communication/coordination and decision making, you will only lose objectives over and over and over.

Also, the OP team lacks wave clear, so they have verry little ways of clearing sieges, which is crucial to any split team.

agreed, but two things about those matches. i feel like at least in game one, fnatic lost in champ select. they also might have lost another game because of things in champ select too.

i don't know. i'd have loved to see fnatic go to the finals.

adc: cait is the seigemaster. Her range is op. Also, Svir is the strongest pusher in the game imo. She can clear waves of minions with one Q-W combo and an auto with Statikshiv. Once she gets to a turret she ults for bonus MS + AS.

It CAN work, when it does you'll think it's the best comp you've ever seen, but if they put 1 person top 1 person bot, send 3 mid to 3v3, and their wings beat your wings, the entire comp will fold like a paper tower.
